Iris Escoto Orellana

Iris is a loving and friendly girl who attends the Alitas de Plata Child Development Center near Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She lives with her father, a shoemaker, and her grandmother, a homemaker. Three older siblings live elsewhere. Iris' home is a mud house with a sheet metal roof, which fortunately is equipped with electricity and indoor running water. Iris's favorite school subject is math. Her other interests include soccer, running, listening to stories, and playing with dolls. Her good work habits and positive interactions with others bode well for her future.
