Sandra Turcios Ortiz

Sandra is an energetic girl attending the Alitas de Pe'ntilde;a de Horeb Project in Honduras. She lives with her mother and brother in a simple cinderblock house with a sheet metal roof. Sandra and her family are fortunate to have electricity, radio, television, and indoor running water. Although Sandra’s father has left the family, her mother works as a cleaner to adequately provide for the family. In her free time, Sandra enjoys storytelling, listening to stories, drawing pictures, and playing with dolls. Despite unfavorable living conditions, Sandra remains in good health.
