Sheybi Reyes Sanchez

Sheybi is a quiet girl attending the Alitas de Peña de Horeb Project in Honduras. She lives with her mother in a simple brick house with a sheet metal roof. Sheybi and her mother are fortunate to have electricity, radio, refrigeration, and indoor running water. Although Sheybi’s father has left the family, her mother stays home and takes care of the children. Sheybi’s household duties include running errands and gathering fuel for fires. In her free time, Sheybi enjoys storytelling, listening to stories, drawing pictures, and playing with dolls. The bear is her favorite animal.

Letter from Sheybi (March, 2007):

Hello again! Sheybi wants to know you and send you a gift in other occasion. she wants to know if you have family and if you have parents because she says she has her mom that loves her very much.

She likes to play with dolls a lot and she will go to school soon. We send you lots of greetings!
